Ryan Price
Sorry if it's been said many times, but Ryan Price is the famous Racehorse trainer. My father, Albert Charles Green, I believe was in his unit.

The original id in the first comments are indeed wrong as by the date stated July 1944 Capt. Grewcock was dead. The Combined Ops website also has a photo of Capt Grewcock and this is not him. However on the date suggested, is that not Lt Col Peter Young, 5th from the left. If so then this photo has to be before the 2nd October 1944 as on that date he was on way to Malta and then onward to operations in the Far East with 3rd Special Service Bde.

This photo was most probably taken in early 1945 in Holland or Germany.
The RM officer is not Capt. E.E.D. GREWCOCK: he was KIA on 12/6/1944 in Normandy. His Photo can be found in the IWM photographic library under N° H 39030.
This photo is also reproduced on p.51 of the book "Eric Harden VC" by Julia Harden

The road the commandos have been photographed in is East Cliff in Dover, and adjacent to the First and Last pub. At the end of the road is the entrance to Dover Eastern Docks.
