Pete Rogers (archive administrator) adds "Note the hackle on the beret of the man on the left and the No.2 Cdo dagger patch on George's beret. This suggests it was post VE/VJ day when as the Commandos were awaiting demob/disbandment many went into No.4 Cdo. and post war policing duties in Germany (Recklinghausen area)
