27.12.1941 Private Russell, No.3 Commando, wounded during operations at Vaagso, Norway.
03.04.1944 transferred Queen's Royal Regiment.
03.09.1945 transferred Intelligence Corps.
Member of the Commando Association who list final rank as Lance Sergeant.
