Allocated to Cheshire Regiment.
Wounded at Lentini in 1943 and again in Amfreville in 1944.
Medically discharged in February 1945.
Medals 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, Italy Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-45.
An accomplished boxer he is mentioned on several occasions in Brigadier Durnford-Slater's book Memoirs of a Fighting Commando in WW2 during their stay on Gibraltar. He was a Corporal at the time and Durnford-Slater describes him as the heavyweight boxer for the Commando Boxing Team which "cleaned up in the Gibraltar championships."
Thomas Gerald Dennis passed away on January 9th, 1963.
