Ron Chung 12 Cdo. presented with his medals
Ron Chung of No.12 Commando and a veteran of the raid on St Nazaire finally receives his service medals. Ron had never got his medals after the war. In the photo Tom Heard of No.2 Commando is seen presenting them. Also present are Ron's two sons.
Ron's grandaughter Carrie-Anne, in response to an email from me, said this " The day my granddad got his medals was one of his proudest moments and we would love for you to put the pictures on the site. My granddad had 4 daughters, two sons,( one that followed him into the marines and one followed him in to the building trade), 15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter (now 6 great-grandchildren) when he died. I believe that we all love him and are very proud of him. "
