Letter (page 1) from Mrs Swayne wife of Lieut. Ronnie Swayne MC dated 7th July 1942

Dated 7/7/42 this was the first notification that Tom's mother recieved of his death. Prior to this she had only received official notification that he was posted as missing in action. Lieut. Swayne was on board the same motor launch as Tom at St Nazaire and had written to his wife from a prisoner of war camp after his capture.
