This photo, taken in Bombay in 1945 and courtesy of Dougie Neish, shows Douggie and his colleague, Povey, both of No.1 Commando. Douggie recalls, “Povey decided to wear his slouch hat and I stuck to my Green Beret. Povey is wearing the type issued to us at Wrexham before being posted overseas, but I must say that they were seldom used, if at all. I can't recollect what I did with my one”.
