Z Troop
I have been trying to obtain information regarding my fathers involvement during the early stages of WW2 and the Normandy landings.
He is pictured in this photo on the bottom row Freddie Lister, (Fred Lister).
Could anyone give me information on how I could obtain his service number?
Thank you
His son John Lister.

I think number 1. on the 2nd row down may be my great uncle Cpl Thomas (Tommy) Cole R.A.M.C attached to 47 RM Cdo.

Cpl. W.F. Smith
Hello. On the third row (16. L/Cpl E. Smith) is actually Cpl William Francis Smith (PO/x107569), my grandfather.
He died in Southampton in 2008, but was fortunate enough to be reunited with Harry Sale in 2002 after I found Harry through a guy called Frank Darbyshire on a lost-comms website. He'd missed out on all the reunions for the past 58 years! He managed to attend one of the 46RM Commandos ceremonies in Rots during the mid-2000s, however.
