The dark haired Lieutenant in the photo has been identified as Lt. (later Capt.) Nicky Grose by his granddaughter Eleanor Grose. Larry & Nicky served in 2 Troop, as Subalterns, together.

William Leffler
William Leffler, a South African, 51 RTR and 5 Troop, No.5 Cdo is pictured, in full uniform, directly behind Harry Rose.
His daughter has the same photograph and it is annotated as: "5 Cdo, Bridlington 1940:
Capt Ellerbeck is also identified as centre in first row standing, with the crease running straight through his face!

Trooper Wall wears the Territorial Army LS & GC Medal so probably may have resumed serving Post War. I understand that a Year of War Service counts as two when calculating entitlement.
