Robert Moran - Far left
I came across this picture after looking up my late grandfathers military history, knowing he was in the no.6 commandos, knowing they were involved in operation overlord and went to orne bridges I was looking through thhese pictures and found the man on the left hand side of this picture is my grandfather Robert (bob) Moran and I couldnt be more proud.

Ltn Thursby's death is mentioned in the "Third Jungle Book" issue No.8 date Sep 1945, in the No.5 Troop Notes section, page 26.
"The sudden passing of Lieut. Thursby was agreat blow to the Troop we offer our sincerest condolences to his family on their great loss"
