No.3 Commando 5 troop December 1941

Original photo courtesy of Elisabeth Churcher whose father George Churcher is third row up on the right hand side as you look at the picture. George took part in Operation Chariot at St Nazaire on the 28/29th March 1942 after which he was taken prisoner of war.

The below names are courtesy of Graham Jones, son in law of Tpr. Dick Pickover No.3 Cdo 5 tp. who also adds " I came across some old correspondence (1985) between Dick and an old pal of his, Ron Grove who served with him in 5 Troop. Ron was able to identify most of the member of 5 troop in December 1941 around the time their Vaagso raid. (most probably afterwards seeing as there is a German flag in their possession"
