Photo courtesy of his daughter in law Shirley Savings who adds "As far as I can see Dad was moved around quite a lot and was at various times a member of 45, 47 and 48 Commando and served with the Armoured Support Group on D-Day, landing on Juno Beach with the Canadians. He died on the 24th October 2002."
