Marine Robert Casson, 4 Special Service Brigade HQ kia 6/6/44 Normandy

Marine Robert Casson, and his brother Private Joseph Casson (serving with the Durham Light Infantry), were both killed in action during Operation Overlord. Unlike his brother Robert, Joseph was not Commando trained. They are buried alongside each other at at Ryes War Cemetery, Bazenville.
