Private Urquhart was known as 'Bertie' to his family and 'Bobby' to his Commando comrades. These photos cover his whole army career from joining the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in 1939 to his re-joining 5 Troop 9 Commando after having recovered from injury in the Anzio campaign, mid March 1945. He was killed in action at Lake Comacchio on the 2nd April 1945. Included in this album is a resume of Pte Urquhart's military service written by his brother Donald
