Sgt John 'Red' Skelton with brother Frank, India Nov '43.
This photo courtesy of Chris Lee, was sent by Red Skelton to his friend, Bill Lee, No.3 Commando, as a Christmas card.
The message in the card reads:
"... When our convoy arrived in Bombay Docks safely, India. My brother Frank who was a CSM Border Regt attached to the Embarkation Staff, Bombay Docks, Sept 43. He was the first man to come on board to look for his brother, which was myself. We hadn't seen each other for 10 years. It sure was wonderful. I was granted Shore Leave at once until Midnight. We had our photo taken with his dog, Judy.
Signed, John Skelton."
