Capt. Lawrence Geoffrey 'Larry' Stephens, No.5 Commando
From 1943 Larry was an officer in No.5 Commando. There is an entry in the The Third Jungle Book - the 3 Commando Brigade Magazine, where Larry Stephens is mentioned as the No5 Cdo Entertainments Officer - he served in 2 Troop and in HQ Troop (Intelligence).
Post war Larry was a BBC radio scriptwriter. He wrote for many of the popular comedy shows and stars such as Tony Hancock. He co wrote the Goon Show with Spike Milligan. Larry died on 26th January 1959 aged 35.
