Harry Hemmel was a Danish sailor who came to England in 1941 where he was recruited into The BUFFS. In 1942 he, along with 14 other Danish soldiers serving in The BUFFS, volunteered for Commando Training. On completion of training, Harry served in 2 Troop, No.5 Cdo.
