John Davies
John Bartholomew Davies No.3 Commando. [view archive entry.....].
Photos courtesy of his son Mike Davies who adds on behalf of all the family, "It is with great sadness we report the death of John Bartholomew Davies who passed away 4th April 2013. A cockney, who after over 50 years living up north still never lost his southern accent or his early memories. A volunteer with No.3 Commando he stormed the Normandy beaches on D-Day at Sword Beach and was proud of his Commando association. John Davies will always be remembered by a very loving family and friends, regarded as one of life’s true gentlemen he was a person much admired by all.
His ever- loving family."
