3655822 Pte Enoch Sheard was attached from the South Lancs. Regt. He served in No.2 Commando and was batman to Captain Richard Broome, South Lancs Regt., No.4 Ind. Coy., and later Captain of 5 troop 2 Commando. Capt. Broome was killed at Salerno.
