In his memoirs Bert adds this about Freddy Peters " Freddy Peters, London Irish. He was a pugnacious and strong chap and had joined the Territorials when he was very young. He loved the army and all it stood for. He eventually married my sister Kitty and after the war lived close by and still remained firm friends."
