5 Troop No.2 Commando 1942
Update 10/01/10 by Pete R. "This photo was originally posted as "same troops on shores of Loch Fyne after practice landing from HMS Keren". Sadly I do not know by whom. Having spoken to Eric Buckmaster and Walter Ainslie, both veterans of 5 Troop, I have retitled it as "Some of 5 Troop No.2 Cdo at Loch Fyne". The following Commandos have been identified:
Extreme left next to the man with his back to the camera: Ray Davies;
The man on the right of Ray as you view the photo: Frank Healey;
The front three just to the right of Frank as you view the photo from left to right are : L.Cree, Harry Jacobs, and Ben Fryer. Directly behind Cree and Jacobs are Ron Eley and Pete Sharp.
Three to the right of Pete Sharp (as you view the photo) is a Corporal who may be Harold Harbert

It seems the Scottish element has been dropped, Green Berets adopted and standard Army field dress worn.
