Ron was in No.12 Commando and took part in Operation Chariot - the raid on St Nazaire. This article courtesy of Mark Heard, son of Tom Heard of No.2 Commando who helped to get the medals Ron was due but had never receieved. They were presented to Ron shortly before he passed away.
