Sgt Willem Timmer No.10 (IA) Cdo., 2 'Dutch' troop and Princess Irene Bde.

Willem served with 2 Troop between 1st Aug'42 and 1st Jan'44 attaining the rank of Corporal. He rejoined the Princess Irene Brigade where he was promoted Sergeant. This photo was taken sometime after this. He went to Normandy in August 1944 and saw action with the Brigade in France, Belgium and in Holland. (Information from Service Record and JB)
