Ranks and link added. Jack Bakker also adds "It is Sgt R.B. Visser. The R stand for Rokus, his first name. As far as I know the photo was taken in Eastbourne and I think in 1945. He was a Lt then. He later went to the former Dutch East Indies to become ...
Ranks and link added. Jack Bakker also adds "It is Sgt R.B. Visser. The R stand for Rokus, his first name. As far as I know the photo was taken in Eastbourne and I think in 1945. He was a Lt then. He later went to the former Dutch East Indies to become a member of the Dutch Special Force Regiment there. After Indonesia got its independence he became the trainer and first commander of the Indonesian Commandos and Paras."
