HRH Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands and No.2 Dutch troop 10IA Commando at Eastbourne Sept. 1944. Photo courtesy of the Dutch Commando Museum and Jack Bakker who adds the following
" 2nd from left: Capt Linzel;
Man with back to the camera: Lt De Ruiter;
Face of man above left shoulder of De Ruiter: Cpl Leo Persoon (his daughter lives in the UK!);
The 2 men looking into the camera:
left Dullemen and right Van Barneveld.
Next to Van Barneveld is not known;
Next to that man is Beekmeijer. He was during operation Market garden attached to 7th Battalion KOSB and later was involved in the fighting by 165th Para. He was made POW and moved to Dresden together with 2 other captured Dutch Commandos. They escaped but were recaptured. They escaped again and this time reached the American lines."
