Pierre Beauprez served in the ranks of 4 (Belgian] Troop of No.10 (IA) Commando in WWII. On 18 March 1951 the then Lieutenant Beauprez was the first serviceman of the Belgian Forces to die in Korea. Lieutenant Beauprez was killed when a mine exploded as he was conducting a Patrol on the North bank of the River Han during the Korean War.
