Fred Jenkins and others from No 1 Commando
Photo courtesy of John Mewett who adds "I believe Henry Brown sent me this but I have no names. The photo is dated quite precisely as the 18th November 1942."
Pte Fred Jenkins is standing on the right arms folded.
Pte Alfred James Turner is the third man standing in the back.
Posted by Pete R.who adds " There has been some debate over the date in relation to the photo,ie. the wearing of forage caps rather than Green Berets that were now in issue, and No.1 Cdo's deployment at the time. If anyone has specific information regarding the individuals that might help please place a comment on the photo, or contact the CVA"
I also have an original photograph. My father, Pte Alfred James Turner is the third man standing in the back. I have a navy blue background with red lettering COMMANDO insignia. It does not have a number.
