QMS George 'Jock' Donnelly
George Donnelly enlisted in 1940 in Chatham, and spent most of the war on ships as a Bofors gunner. His post WW2 service saw him posted to 45 & 43 Commando RM. He served in Cyprus in the 50's when there was trouble there. In the 60's he saw service in Singapore during the period of tension between between Singapore and Indonesia. QMS Donnely crossed the bar on the 14th March 1988 aged 66.
