Sergeant Malcolm Kennedy RM died in service 24 June 1966 UK.
Sergeant Malcolm Kennedy died from injuries received in a road traffic accident whilst he was walking from Exeter St David's Station back to the training centre.
Dave Prichard, 45 Commando and CTCRM adds "Ken, as we knew him, joined about 10 months before me. He trained at CTCRM as a Sniper PW3(S). He was a PW1 (First Class Weapons Instructor) on secondment to the Para Battle School at Brecon and had served with 42 Commando RM in Borneo during the undeclared war with Indonesia.
He was a serious and committed Royal Marine Instructor whose professionalism would have allowed him into the Halls of the best people to wear the Green Beret. Ken would have stood with them, shoulder to shoulder. Any Commando of any era would have valued his Company. I still mourn his death. Salute! "
In Memory of RM18252 Sergeant Malcolm Campbell 'Ken' Kennedy RM
