Marine Peter Jones from Penarth, and Marine Maldwyn Humphreys from the Rhondda Valley both served with 41 Independent Commando RM during the Korean War.

Marine Peter Raymond Jones was killed in action two months after this article and posthumously awarded the Silver Star (USA).
