But I was put on a charge...
Mac tells Lochiel how, with burning timbers falling on their heads an officer had 'commandeered' Mac's tin helmet but after all the excitement Mac never saw the officer, or his tin hat again...
Back on Parade later that day he was put on a charge, 'for losing Army equipment' - his tin hat!
