She was 4 years of Age when on the night of 5th June 1944 the Airbourne Gliders landed in her back Garden, to secure Pegasus Bridge and the 2nd Bridge a short way ahead. Her parents were members of the Resistance, and had been feeding in information regarding, German strength in the locality. The First spot in Europe to be liberated from the Nazis. She gave the whole party a Free Lunch. (Ham Bagetteā€™s, Apple Pie, and Coffee). I purchased a Book which she kindly signed."
