<![CDATA[Newspaper cutting of the time from the Egyptian Mail re Operation Flipper 1941]]> https://gallery.commandoveterans.org/cdoGallery/v/documents/Newspaper+cuttings/11Commando+Raid+1.jpg.html
Update from Pete R. ..Having read this WW2 Cairo newspaper report, the people mentioned would I think be as follows:
The Lieut. Colonel must be Laycock, the injured Captain - Captain Campbell, the Segeant- Sgt Jack Terry.

Geoffrey Keyes VC MC
Robert Laycock DSO
Jack Terry DCM

A picture of Geoffrey Keyes and details of his citation for the posthumous award of the VC can be seen in our Victoria Cross link on the Home Page Index. Pictures of Robert Laycock can be seen in our WW2 album "The Commanders", and a picture of Jack Terry is in our No. 11 Commando album.

nb. These are simply newspaper cuttings from WW2 and propaganda on all sides took place. Whilst they are of significant interest, they cannot always be regarded as completely accurate in their content]]>
