14241644 Corporal Albert Kenneth Smart was a serving Police Officer before volunteering for the Army Commandos. He was posted to the Commando Depot, Achnacarry on the 23rd July 1942, and on the 24th Sept. 1942 was transferred to No.9 Commando (choosing the Leicestershire Regiment as his unit for Administration records.) He was demobbed on the 17th April 1946 having attained the war substantive rank of Corporal.
