6896651 Gnr. (Dvr i/c) Charles Mellows, Royal Artillery attached No.11 Commando was wounded by gunfire during operations at Litani River on 9 June 1941. He was medically discharged from military service as a result of his wounds. Post war member of the Commando Association, final rank shown in their newsletters was Sergeant but this may have been a temporary one as it is not shown on his service record. They also record the fact that he additionally served in No.4 Commando at some point.<br />
