 <description><![CDATA[No 51 is Eric Albert(Lofty)Hill. Joined from Metropolitan Police. Served North Africa, Sicily, Italy and North West Europe. Not on D-Day. In Weymouth Hospital with German Measles! Wore Gordon Highlander badge although signed on as Royal Fusilier at Tower of London. Was instructor at Achnacarry for a while, training Dutch commandos. Ended War as Corporal.<br />
Died with my mother on 9th April 1970 when the 'London Valour' on which he was the Radio Officer sank in a gale off Genoa, Italy.]]></description>
