None of the six entries in Commando Association newsletters from 1949 until his death, that have a mention of him, including the Obituaries entry, show M.C. against his name. Sources: Newsletters 9, 45, 66, 67, 71, 89 (Obituary entry).

Back Row first on left is my grandfather William Henry Delaney
I have not got this photograph, but I have two photos on here. One has Salonika 2/2/45 written on the back. Would like to obtain a copy of this photo if at all possible?

John McCormack (known as Count John) 9 and 12 Commando
This picture is of my father John McCormack, known as Count John, No. 9 and 12 Commando. He was a Sergeant under RSM Jack Quarrie. Served in Greece, Italy. Norway etc.
The gentleman sitting and pointing at the bat is Frank Walsh who was CSM and from the A & SH; probably my father's greatest pal in No. 9 and for years beyond. I met him and his wife and indeed others in their family several times.
I think I was there when the photograph was taken as I recognise the young chap back left.
It was a privilege to visit Fort William and meet these great people.

Query on surname spelling
Note spelling on the surname on the London Gazettes entry differs to the CWGC entry in that it ends with double T rather than single.
