"Spud" Hedges looks to be Sgt Harry Hedges.

There is some correlation of various names with other photos in your gallery from the collection of Sgt Ted Tharme, e.g. [View this photo] though with different spellings for Davison / Davidson and "Tich" Dayson / "Titch" Dyson.
