<br />
Gunner George Baker, 5 Troop, died during the Battle of Hill 170, Kangaw, Burma. He was killed in action after killing two Japanese snipers and has no known grave.<br />
Son of Horace Edward and Mary Ann Baker, of Kingston-on-Thames, Surrey. Older brother of Reginald and Peter Baker<br />
George Horace Baker from Kingston on Thames, Surrey, joined the East Surrey Regiment TA in 1939. On 9 December 1939 he transferred to the Royal Artillery, 65th Searchlight Regiment. After this he was posted to the Faroe Islands. Gunner Baker volunteered for the Commandos in 1943. His 20 year old brother 14423409 Trooper Reginald Edward Baker, 3rd Royal Tank Regt., R.A.C. (not a commando) also died in the war. <br />

20 year old 14423409 Trooper Reginald Edward Baker, 3rd Royal Tank Regiment, R.A.C. (not a commando) was killed in France in August 1944. His 23 year old brother Gunner George Baker, No.1 Commando 5 Troop, was killed the following year during the Battle of Hill 170, Kangaw, Burma. Sons of Horace Edward and Mary Ann Baker, of Kingston-on-Thames, Surrey. Older brothers of Peter Baker<br />

 <title><![CDATA[Marine Charles William Dewberry, 46RM Commando died on war service 5/2/1945 UK]]></title>

<br />
Marine Charles Dewberry, 'A' troop, died at the Royal West Sussex Hospital Chichester from injuries received in an accidental fall. Son of Charles David and Maud Sarah Dewberry, of Clapton, London.<br />
Mne. Dewberry from Gunton Road Upper Clapton, was found dead whilst taking a bath at the TOC H Club in Chichester. A post mortem revealed that his death was thought to be due to a fall, possibly as he got out of the bath. The Coroner recorded a verdit of Accidental Death. <i>[Source: Hampshire Telegraph]</i>.<br />

Corporal Albert Williams, 'C' Troop, was wounded during operations at Kangaw, Burma. He died of his wounds whilst en route to Akyab onboard the hospital ship Wusueh and was buried at sea. Son of Frank and Mabel Williams; husband of Blanche Gertrude Joan Williams, of Taunton, Somerset; father of Rodney Williams aged 2 at the time.<br />
