His grandson Craig adds that after this he moved to the 9th Worcestershire regiment NWE 3/7/45. Craig advises that his grandfather had been wounded in the leg crossing one of the Rhine Bridges and was not sent back to a Commando unit. He completed his transfer on the 17th July 45 and returned to the UK.
