The first with a label on it stating "E Troop 45 Royal Marine Commando 1944" was originally in our gallery. The second contradicts the date of the first and provides a location. It has annotations written on the rear stating " 14-1-46 Linfield (or perhaps Sinfold) Camp nr Horsham."

The timeline of the service history of the Commando who had the second photo supports the later date.
