R.A.M.C. attached to 48 RM Commando. Service no. 7364289. His son John adds, "He landed at Nan Red Sector of Juno Beach in the 48RM Commando, ‘Z’ Troop boat, on D-Day. He was seriously wounded by mortar fire shortly after disembarking but managed to survive."
