When No.11 Cdo was disbanded, Jock was sent to Military Mission 204 where he joined Special Service Detachment II (SSDII).
Cpl Johnston died from exhaustion and Malaria near the Chinese border. It was here that Fred Goode, SSD II, who had become seperated from his colleagues, happened upon the grave of Jock Johnston which had a rough cross on which hung Jock's slouch hat...
