21 April 1945 Commissioned Second Lieutenant Royal Fusiliers (London Gazette 37092).
7 July 1945 War Substantive Lieutenant. Transferred to Parachute Regiment 25 August 1945 (London Gazette 37401).
12 February 1947 War Substantive Lieutenant. Relinquishes his commission on the grounds of disablity, granted the honorary rank of Lieutenant (London Gazette 37880).
From CVA Forum [view...]: March 1951 serving as a Captain in A Company, 2nd Amphibious Reconnaissance Battalion, United States Marine Corps. 2nd Recon trained at Camp Geiger and Stone Bay near Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
