Trooper Arthur Evans
I am the nephew of Trooper Evans and would be very interested in knowing how this image came to be posted in his memory.
I have been searching for information on him and this photo has been a huge help to me. Thank you.

very interesting - I think Hylton should be Hilton if this was the section that landed at Yellow Beach One. My father Roger Hilton was captured there as were many others and i would love to read any accounts of that event. Thank you

Thanks

Christina Findell advises " I believe 280 is my late Father Gordon Wallace Carlyle who served under Lord Lovat and was at the Lofoten Islands and Pegasus Bridge. He always spoke very proudly of his service in No. 4 Commando, and I know it was a great honour for him to do so. He later became Major Carlyle. He is greatly missed as a loving and wonderful Father"
^Admin....280 now identified as Leslie George Woodward. Christina please contact the archive
