Is there any indication as to where this photograph was taken?
Also is there any clue (perhaps on the original) to the first names of the men?

This is the village of Wriedel in Germany. Wriedel is located approximately 20 KMs south of Lüneburg. The Sign says Bremers Gasthof meaning Bremers Inn. It is located on the Hauptstrasse 34 in Wriedel. B-Squadron Inns of Courts concentrated here on April 17th 1945. The Inns of courts operated with 11th Armoured Division in 1945, as did 1st Commando Brigade.

additional detail
Bill Lowe had been CSM of 5 troop since at least Dec. 1941 ( see photos in gallery). I am not sure when he became RSM. RSM Beesley 3 Cdo was captured at Dieppe August 1942, and I know RSM Stenhouse 3 Cdo was wounded at Termoli early Oct.1943.

I recently bought a box of items in auction including medals, a medal box, transmission slip and a photo all pertaining to Gerald Taylor of No2 Commando. The photo is of 5 soldiers one of which being Gerald Taylor - I would be happy to load it on the forum but don't know how to add it.

I have been trying to find out more about Lt Edward Mcdonald DCM L Detachment SAS, who I believe is in this photo on the far right.
He was then of course a Sgt in 11 Commando and fought at the Battle of the Litani River.
My recent interest has been inspired by a few years of research about the Originals and it is not too hard to find out what exactly happened to all of the Originals, during the war and after, however it is really hard finding a great deal about Edward Mcdonald, after the famous photos taken with Lt Col Stirling in early January 1943.
Of course the photos I am talking about are featured on what seem like most of the books written about the Special Air Service, during the war, but I have drawn a blank about Lt Mcdonald after the Jan 1943 photos were taken.
All I know is that Mcdonald transferred to 2 SAS but other than that nothing.
Anyway I am confirming that I believe this is Edward Mcdonald and if anybody else knows anything I would love to discuss.
