Conduct: Exemplary.
The afm nco has been first class at everything he has touched since being with this unit. But the very fact that has served three years in the Commandos and held the rank of L/Sgt in that branch of the service which so high a standard from even its lowest ranks speaks far more than I can for his personal intelligence, command and integrity.

Peta Bull adds " This is the Christmas card that Dad designed, cut the block and had printed in Italy. He sent it to his parents and Bob and Frank have also signed it. They were from the same TA group or whatever you call it in Wavertree district in Liverpool. He sent another to Town Clerks Printing and Stationery Office where he worked. On that one he wrote ""I was responsible for this little effort. It is no credit to the Stationery Dept but a pokey Itie printers is a far cry from Tinlings and I had to cut the block from a chunk of wood. Hope you have a Merry Xmas. We are going to do our bit. Cheers, Harold." Tinlings was a big Liverpool Printers used by the Town Clerks.

Peta adds "Baby is my cousin born May 1945. 29th June Dad had 14 days disembarkation from CMF according to his paybook. First time home since leaving the UK for the Invasion of Sicily. Can’t imagine what it was like to come home in one sense a complete relief but in another it must have been really hard. To have been in the Army 6 years 3 of them out of the UK and at 27 years old to come home to an office job, living with his parents, elder brother, younger sister and his baby sister her husband and a new baby until he married 1949 and then lived with his mother in law for 4 years."
