David adds &quot;My father died in 1962 of a sudden heart attack leaving a widow and four young children. He never spoke of his time with 3 Commando and my mother many years later said that he had a bad time suffering from what we now call PTSS. Despite being brought up in a strict non conformist household in North Wales and pursuing a career in the church, after 1945 he never entered a church again&quot;.<br />
