Some of those in the photo are thought Peter Ian 'Barty' Bartholomew (promoted Lt Col. and later took over as OC No 3 Cdo), and Major James Edward 'Slinger' Martin (Adjutant)

Guy Hudson (see comments below) adds: KIEL 1st June 1945. 3 Commando provide the guard of honour for Field Marshal Montgomery's investiture.
