John Bartholomew Davies No.3 Commando. [view archive entry.....].

Mike Davies adds on behalf of all the family, "It is with great sadness we report the death of John Bartholomew Davies who passed away 4th April 2013. A cockney, who after over 50 years living up north still never lost his southern accent or his early memories. A volunteer with No.3 Commando he stormed the Normandy beaches on D-Day at Sword Beach and was proud of his Commando association. John Davies will always be remembered by a very loving family and friends, regarded as one of life’s true gentlemen he was a person much admired by all.
His ever- loving family."
